What is FIRST?
FIRST or For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology is an organization founded by Dean Kamen in 1989. FIRST is a robotics community that prepares young people for the future. It is a world leading, youth-serving, non- profit organization that takes regular games and adds a twist by using STEM skills to learn and experiment with. There are different programs in FIRST for every age group.

Every year, FIRST launches a new challenge for each program. After understanding the game requirements and game manual, each team builds and programs a robot that fits with all the criteria. FIRST has inspired us in ways that we could've never imagined. It has inspired us to dream big, achieve our goals, work hard, be more confident, and to help others using Gracious Professionalism. We have been inspired to help other people join FIRST because its changed us into much more better people.

How Do I Join FIRST?
